FRI 7.8. 18:15 Lehtojärven Hirvenpää

Lehtojärven Hirvenpää is a modern era tango orchestra from Finnish Lapland. The ensemble was formed by Jaakko Laitinen, known from the group Väärä raha, and Harri Kuusijärvi, an accordion virtuoso who works across multiple genres. The project started when the duo put their two heads together and began to work on new songs, resulting in a full album worth of popular music for these end times. Kuusijärvi’s progressive and popular-style tunes are further deepened by Laitinen’s lyrics which explore the cornerstones and structures of life and reality. Twisted pines and everyday topics serve as a diving platform into the depths of ecological, metaphysical and cosmological musings, the enigmatic tangles of the mind, or the infinite miracles of space.

Harri Kuusijärvi – accordion
Jaakko Laitinen – vocals
