The music of Anne-Mari Kivimäki & Palomylly flows through silent rapture into a smoky rock and roll cave with a hypnotic beat. The ensemble whirls like the wind, bringing fresh emotion into traditional stories and original compositions, and presenting concerts where the accordion sings, the ancient dead rise up, and hips start to sway to the beat of Viena Karelia traditions. The ensemble was chosen as a showcase artist at the 2020 Folk Alliance International event in New Orleans, US.
